Meredith Salenger
Salenger was born and raised within Malibu, California. She loved performing for friends and family as an early child. She was taken by her mother to her first class in acting when she was 8 years old. Salenger played a small role in the film as "a singer and dancer orphan" in John Huston's feature film Annie. Salenger is also part of a few television commercials. The first time she was the main character on her role in the Disney production The Journey of Natty Gann costarring John Cusack and Ray Wise which was the first US movie to win the coveted gold prize during the Moscow Film Festival. Salenger was also named "Best actress in Drama" from the Youth in Film Awards, for portraying the tomboyish Natty. The actress also appeared in four films prior to turning 18 years old. One of the films included A Night in the Life of Jimmy Reardon. Then she went to Harvard to pursue further studies.
